Dry Needling and Cupping can be used for a wide variety of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine conditions. Optimizing performance through increasing strength and range of motion is a major emphasis, but these techniques can also be very effective for pain management. As the Team Physical Therapist for the Columbus Blue Jackets, I especially have a wide range of experience in hockey related injuries. If you have concerns about your specific condition, please feel free to contact me.
Do I need a prescription to come to Physical Therapy?
A physical therapist can treat without a prescription, this is called direct access. Each state has specific laws regarding direct access, the follow applies to the state of Ohio:
How do I schedule an appointment?
At this time, the best way to schedule an appointment is to email me through the link supplied on the contact page. Please include a brief summary of why you are seeking treatment. I offer treatments on most Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends. Please provide a general day and time frame that would work for you (i.e. Thursday morning) and I will be happy to provide information on openings.
What should I wear to an appointment?
You should wear comfortable clothing that offers free range of movement. Please keep in mind the area that treatment is required as clothing should provide access. Women should consider a tank top for neck/shoulder treatments. Towels can be used for appropriate draping if access to more sensitive treatment areas is required.
What forms do I need to fill out prior to coming?
Please locate the Forms section on the website. The intake form should be completed prior to the first visit. The informed consent and HIPAA acknowledgement will need to be signed prior to treatment. If you prefer to sign these at your first visit, copies will be provided.
